In Spring 2004, Simon Platt co-founded StoneTurn Group LLP, an independent dispute consulting firm specializing in providing accounting, financial and economic consulting services on a wide variety of projects.  Simon led Deloitte’s Boston office Dispute Consulting Group from 1998 to 2002.  In 2003, Simon was the Practice Unit Leader for New York/Boston, Deloitte’s largest Dispute Consulting practice (over 300 professionals), and started and led Deloitte’s National Forensic Audit Assistance program from 2002 through 2004.

Simon’s extensive audit background includes working with a wide range of companies, from large multi-national public companies to smaller, privately held enterprises.  This background has allowed Simon the ability to work with a variety of different industries in a variety of matters, including dealing with revenue recognition issues, accounting record reconstruction, purchase price disputes, SEC investigations, royalty and license payments and receipts, fraud investigations and business analysis . Simon has experience in all aspects of dispute consulting, including strategy discussions, pre-trial analysis and testimony in traditional judicial, arbitration and mediation proceedings. Simon is also a Chartered Accountant and oversees the London office.
